Minister for Youth and Sports Bablu Gupta has congratulated Nepali athletes who won medals at the Asian Wildwater Canoeing Championship held in Nujiang, China.

On Tuesday, Minister Gupta felicitated medalists Krishna Khadka and Ranjan Kandel at the Table Tennis Hall in Lainchaur. Congratulating the athletes for winning medals at an Asian-level competition and bringing pride to the nation, the minister also wished them greater success in upcoming events.
The program was attended by President of the Nepal Rafting and Canoeing Association and Secretary General of the Nepal Olympic Committee Rajiv Shrestha, Senior Vice President of the Association Surya Prasad Joshi, and Treasurer Mahesh Thapa.
Nepal won two medals at the Nujiang Asian Wildwater Canoeing Championship. Krishna Khadka claimed the gold medal in the Short Distance event, while Ranjan Kandel secured the bronze medal in the same category. Nepal’s achievement of two medals in a competition featuring top Asian athletes is considered a significant milestone.
